2023 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD & PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is given that a draft of the Program Year (PY) 2023 Annual Action Plan (AAP) for Bristol Township will be available for a thirty (30) day public comment period to review and make comments. Notice is also given that a Public Hearing will be held to review and discuss this draft AAP. The PY 2023 AAP outlines proposed projects and activities by the Township’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to address the identified priority needs and goals of the Consolidated Plan. The Township has been allocated $630,599 in CDBG funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) for the 2023 program year, which begins July 1, 2023, and ends June 30, 2024.
The following is the proposed budget for PY 2023:
Administration (20%): $126,119
Public Services (15%): 94,589
Public Facilities & Infrastructure: $259,891 Housing Rehab: $150,000
Public Comment Period: A 30-day comment period is scheduled to begin on March 22nd, 2023, and end on April 20th, 2023. The proposed plan will be available at the at the Bristol Township Office of Community Development (BTOCD) office and online on the Township website at https://www.bristoltownship.org/dced.cfm. Written comments on the draft plan are welcome and could be sent to the BTOCD office at 2501 Bath Road, Bristol, PA 19007 or emailed to the Community Development Director at: vstrother@bristoltownship.org.
Public Hearing: A public hearing will be held at the Township Council Meeting on March 22nd , 2023 at 7:00 PM. A presentation of the proposed AAP plan will be made and comments from citizens are welcome. On April 20th, 2023 at 7:00 PM, the Township Council will formally adopt the PY 2023 AAP for submission to HUD. Township Council Meetings are held in the auditorium of the township building located at 2501 Bath Road, Bristol, PA 19007.
Disability & Translation Assistance: In accordance to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the BTOCD shall provide reasonable accommodations and special arrangements for public meetings for those who are disabled. All public meetings are held in buildings which are accessible to the handicapped. Citizens may contact the Township Office at (267) 812-3102 at least 24 hours in advance to request assistance services.
With at least one business day of advanced notice Spanish translators will be provided at public meetings. Translation services will also be provided for persons who may need assistance reviewing printed documents, reports and/or other related materials.
