River Road Trail - Community Workshop, Saturday, November 16th 3-5PM

Bristol Township, Heritage Conservancy, Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) East Coast Greenway (ECG) and Michael Baker will be hosting a Community Workshop for public input for the River Road Trail next week on Saturday, November 16th from 3-5 PM at the Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company in Croydon.

To recap the process and progress through the last few years:
Bristol Township, with the help of the Heritage Conservancy, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, the East Coast Greenway Alliance, and consultant Michael Baker International are all working to develop a safe, family-friendly public trail for walking, biking, and rolling along River Road from Cedar Avenue to just past the Wawa near Old Route 13. This is just one phase in a larger project working to create a continuous trail that would connect to Bristol Borough’s Riverfront Park and all the way to Philadelphia to the south. In 2021 a $50,000 Regional Trails Program Grant was awarded from Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission for the East Coast Greenway - River Road Trail Segment. The planning has been ongoing since then with design locations, environmental reviews and rerouting a portion of the proposed trail, public surveys and working with PECO and executing a license agreement for the trail to run through the PECO right-of-way under the power lines on River Road. In August an additional $200,000 Regional Trails Program Grant was awarded from Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission for continuation of the planning and design of the East Coast Greenway - River Road Trail Segment.

Please open the links below to be taken to additional information on the proposed trail alignment, presentations at Bristol Township Council Meetings, publications of the project and flyer for November 16th Community Workshop.
We hope you can make next Saturday at NCBC to view and discuss the project with all of us! Contact information is on the flyer if you cannot and have any questions. This a great opportunity to be part of a trail connection from New York to Philadelphia!
